17 – 19 May 2022 |Kigali, Rwanda
As one of the custodians of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7 on energy, IRENA prominently participated in the 2022 Sustainable Energy for All Forum. The event took place from 17-19 of May 2022 in Kigali, Rwanda and served as a platform to accelerate progress towards the delivery of “access to affordable, reliable, sustainable ad modern energy for all”.
IRENA’s participation aimed at identifying energy transition solutions to achieve SDG7. IRENA’s Deputy Director-General Gauri Singh represented the Agency in high-level meetings. IRENA also previewed the “2022 Tracking SDG7: The Energy Progress Report” due in June, showing new findings and a guide on international co-operation and policymaking to achieve universal, sustainable energy access by 2030.
